Security situation in Pakistan has deteriorated, armed attacks have increased

According to a recent report by the Pakistan Institute for Peace Studies (PIPS), armed violence in Pakistan has reached its highest level in the past ten years.

The report states that the number of security incidents, attacks, and militant activities has increased across various regions, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

On the other hand, in an analysis published by The Economist, it is stated that although Pakistan’s Army Chief Asim Munir is attempting to present a strong international image of the country’s security situation and the military’s role, the country continues to face serious internal security challenges.

The report highlights the increased attacks by Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Baloch separatist groups, and other armed organizations as key factors behind the worsening security situation.

Analysts further state that this situation reflects long-term security and political challenges for Pakistan, and some observers claim that in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the situation indicates increasing strain on Pakistan’s military structure.
