An Iranian military official has rejected claims that Iran targeted the Fujairah port in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), instead alleging that the attack was carried out by the United States military.
According to a Reuters report, the incident took place on Monday, May 4, 2026.
Meanwhile, UAE authorities stated that a fire broke out at a key oil facility in Fujairah, which they say resulted from a drone attack carried out by Iran.
The attack has been condemned by Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and several other countries. However, no official response has yet been issued by the United States, Israel, or the UAE regarding Iran’s claims.
It is worth noting that in the past, following Israeli and US strikes on Iran, the country has also targeted important sites in several Gulf countries.
