Local residents told Rana tv that two and a half months have passed since the Pakistani military’s airstrike on the Madakhail village in Chamkani district of Paktia province, but many of those injured in the incident are still facing serious health problems due to their injuries.
According to information, 112 people were injured in the bombing, and some of them continue to suffer from severe complications because their wounds have not healed. Among the injured was the mother of Haji Bismillah Khan, who was wounded in the attack and died today from her injuries.
According to local residents, deaths among the injured continue to occur, while funeral ceremonies for those killed in the attack have been held continuously in local mosques for the past two and a half months.
They said that some of the injured are in such difficult financial circumstances that they cannot even afford ordinary povidone iodine for dressing and treating their wounds.
Local residents are also calling on the Taliban government to provide urgent financial assistance to the families of the injured so that they can cover the costs of medicines, wound dressings and other medical necessities.
Local residents and those affected by the attack say that the Pakistani military used banned weapons in the bombing. They are calling on the international community and human rights organizations to conduct an independent investigation into the attack and examine the issue of harm caused to civilians.
