The Afghanistan Cricket Board has announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against India.
Led by Ibrahim Zadran, the squad includes Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Sediq Atal, Darwish Rasooli, Azmatullah Omarzai, Gulbadin Naib, Noorulhaq Rahmani, Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan, Nangeyal Kharoti, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Noor Ahmad Lakanwal, Fazalhaq Farooqi, Naveen-ul-Haq and Abdullah Ahmadzai.
Shahidullah Kamal, Fareed Ahmad Malik and Ejaz Ahmadzai have been named as reserve players.
Naveen-ul-Haq has returned to the squad after recovering from injury, while Fazalhaq Farooqi has also been recalled after being rested due to injury.
Experienced all-rounder Gulbadin Naib and young wicketkeeper Noorulhaq Rahmani are also part of the squad.
Afghanistan Cricket Board CEO Naseeb Khan said a balanced squad had been selected for the series against India and expressed hope that the Afghan team would perform well.
Afghanistan will play the three T20I matches against India on September 13, 15 and 17 at the Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium in New Delhi.
