Reports: Several mosques destroyed during military operations in Pakhtunkhwa

Reports from various areas of what some sources refer to as “occupied Khyber Pakhtunkhwa” say that at least nine mosques have been damaged or destroyed during ongoing military operations carried out by the Pakistani army over the past two weeks.

According to local sources, three mosques were affected in the Shawal area of North Waziristan, while six others were damaged in districts including South Waziristan, Khyber, Bajaur, Kurram, Hangu, and Kohat.

The reports further state that these mosques were damaged by bombs, drone strikes, and artillery shelling, and in some cases were completely destroyed. Local residents say that some of the mosques were located in residential areas, causing additional damage to nearby structures.

Various reactions have been reported in some areas regarding the destruction of mosques, with local residents and religious circles expressing concern over these incidents.
