Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Condemns Civilian Casualties in Pakistani Military Strikes

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Suhail Afridi has condemned the killing of four civilians and the injury of five others in Tirah Valley. He stated that the civilian casualties in Khyber district were the result of “incompetence and incapacity” on the part of Pakistani security forces.

Afridi reacted as reports indicate that the Pakistani military regime has intensified shelling along both sides of the so-called “line,” affecting local populations. Many civilians, particularly children, have been killed in these attacks.

Human rights activists are calling on the international community, and particularly the UN Security Council, to halt these attacks and ensure that those responsible are held accountable.
