Final of the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup: India and New Zealand Face Off for the Title

The final of the 2026 T20 World Cup will be played today, Sunday (March 8), in Ahmedabad, India, at the Narendra Modi Stadium, where the national teams of India national cricket team and New Zealand national cricket team will compete for the championship.

The match is scheduled to start at 7:00 PM local time, and millions of cricket fans around the world are expected to watch it. The stadium is one of the largest cricket venues in the world, with a seating capacity of around 132,000 spectators.

The Indian national team, as the host nation, is considered one of the strong contenders for the title. If India wins today’s final, it will become the three-time T20 World Cup champion and also the first team to win the tournament in two consecutive editions.

On the other hand, the New Zealand national team is aiming to win the T20 World Cup for the first time in its history. The team reached the final after a strong victory over South Africa national cricket team in the semifinal.

It is worth noting that if the match cannot be completed due to bad weather, the International Cricket Council has scheduled a reserve day to ensure that the final reaches a result.
