Health authorities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa say that the inauguration of the 300-bed specialized children’s hospital in Peshawar has been delayed due to financial difficulties.
According to officials, if the provincial government does not release the pledged two billion rupees next month, the process of making the hospital operational may face further delays.
Health experts believe that this hospital will help fill a major gap in specialized pediatric care and play an important role in improving healthcare services in the region.
Meanwhile, despite the province’s resources, many residents continue to face a lack of access to quality healthcare and basic public services.
