Turkish media: Member of ISIS-K media wing arrested

Turkish media reports that Ahmed Kazanci, who was detained by Turkey’s National Intelligence Organization (MIT), said he worked for ISIS-K in the mountainous regions of Pakistan’s Balochistan province, focusing on media activities.

According to the report, Kazanci traveled from Turkey to Pakistan via Iran in 2024 and later joined the media wing of ISIS-K, where he became involved in producing propaganda materials in the Turkish language.

He stated that he was not involved in armed operations and only worked in media-related propaganda activities for the group.

The Turkish newspaper Kıssa Dalga added that he was later arrested by MIT and transferred to prison.
