IHRF Condemns Pakistani Airstrikes in Behsud District

The International Human Rights Foundation (IHRF) has strongly condemned the Pakistani military airstrikes carried out in Behsud District.

According to the International Human Rights Foundation, based on confirmations from local sources, a Pakistani military strike targeted the home of a civilian family, resulting in the killing of at least 16 family members, including children, women, and elderly individuals.

The foundation stated that the victims included civilians ranging in age from a 1-year-old child to an 80-year-old elder.

IHRF emphasized that targeting civilians constitutes a serious violation of international human rights and humanitarian law, adding that the killing of an entire family—especially children who were asleep at the time of the attack—has no justification whatsoever.

The International Human Rights Foundation has called for an immediate, independent, and transparent international investigation into the airstrike and has stressed the need for accountability for those who ordered and carried out the attack.

The foundation reaffirmed its solidarity with the people of Afghanistan, stressing that the lives and rights of civilians must be protected.
