Amnesty International: Pakistan must release two missing activists of PTM

Amnesty International says that Pakistani authorities must end the enforced disappearance of two activists of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement, Hanif Pashteen and Noor Ullah Tareen, and disclose their whereabouts.

In a statement, Amnesty International said that Hanif Pashteen and Noor Ullah Tareen, members of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement, were forcibly disappeared along with five others after attending a government-organized gathering in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on November 12, 2025.

According to the statement, the five other individuals were released two months later, but Hanif Pashteen and Noor Ullah Tareen remain missing, raising serious concerns about their safety and well-being.

Amnesty International has urged Pakistani authorities to immediately ensure the protection of the two activists, reveal their whereabouts, and release them unconditionally.
